3M 3MT-R-100 22-18 Gauge T-Tap Review

It had been a while since I performed any significant automotive wiring and I dreaded crawling under the dash to install a remote starter for my car. This product helped make a hard task easier. They make it very easy to tap a wire but they can easily be undone if you want to reroute the wires later. You can also easily splice a 18-20 gauage wire (red connector) into a 14-16 ga (blue connector) or 10-12 guage wire (yellow connector) something that was hard to do with the old scotch locks.
One thing to watch for, when inserting the connector lug into the T-Tap, sometimes the blade of the lug would skirt the outside of T-Tap rather than going into the T-Tap slot. The lug connectors I used were transparent so it was easy to tell when this occurred.
Overall, this product results in a study connection greatly simplyfing wiring tasks.
