Using woofer only via low pass from amp. Huge improvement in bass clarity and tightness over stock JBL (2010 4runner "premium" JBL setup). Could use some fine tuning but JBL amp is pretty much locked down by Toyota. Don't know if 4 stars if fair. I don't have anything to compare it to except the stock speakers. I also dynamated the doors and added baffle pad behind woofer.
