I installed the Crimestopper RS-7 on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. I used the Fortin bypass module that made the RS-7 installation very straightforward. It took several "reads" of the instructions to understand how to program the RS-7. There was an addendum sheet that changed the steps on how to program, (set the settings they way you want them). The only issue I had at first was that when I started the vehicle with the remote start, the factory alarm would go off, honking, lights, etc. There is a setting to unlock the car first, start the car, then lock the car. That eliminated the alarm issue. Otherwise it is doing exactly what I want it to do, start the car remotely. The unlock/lock works perfectly as well. I like getting the feedback from the two way remote that tells me that the car did start. With the Fortin module all I needed to connect was a battery power, and the parking lights. After seeing how it integrates with the factory lock/unlock, I do not believe the parking light connection is necessary. For me it was worth the extra money for the two way, and for the Fortin bypass module. It took me about two hours start to finish to complete the installation. One hour of the two hours was removing the steering wheel shroud to get access to the ignition connection for the Fortin bypass module and removing the trim on passenger side kick plate to get access to the parking lights wire. Now that I know how they work, it would take me a few minutes to get those parts off if I was doing this again on a Jeep.
