Roadpro RPPI-500W 500/1000 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter Review
This product was good, but had good reason to be inexpensive. I did reverse the polarity by accident and blow a fuse inside. This was easily fixed by changing the 30 amp fuse. However, I was dissappointed by the 500w rating. You cannot hook up a 500w halogen light from a single car battery. This inverter has an alarm if the voltage drops a small amount. When you hook up 500w to the battery, the voltage will drop slightly, and the alarm will sound, and the inverter will not work. I was further dissappointed when I tried a 300w halogen bulb, and the same thing happened. Finally, it worked when I connected a 56w flourescent (200w equivalent light). This system lasted about 1.5 hours. The 300w halogen might work if you use a brand new deep cycle high quality battery.Roadpro RPPI-500W 500/1000 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter Overview
