Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2002 Hyundai Sonata (Must be programmed by Hyundai dealer) Review
I got this remote for my 2002 Hyundai Sonata, and can confirm it works flawlessly.It took alot of google searching to find the instructions to program this my self but after more effort than it would have taken than to break into Fort Knox, I found them.
Here are the steps on how to program it on a 2002 Hyundai Sonata
1.) Access alarm system control module located behind fascia panel in center (the module is located behind the ashtray, you must remove the fascia that surrounds the radio, climate controls, clock, etc.)
2.) Ensure memory switch is in OFF position (they should always be off unless programming)
3.) Switch ignition on
4.) Wait 5 seconds. Set memory switch to SET position.
5.) Press remote transmitter LOCK button to send code to alarm system control module.
6.) To program a second remote, (I believe you can only program 2, And I hear that you must program ALL remotes to be used any time the keyless module is set to SET) press the LOCK button on the second remote transmitter.
7.) Set memory switch to OFF.
8.) Switch off ignition
9.) Confirm programming by locking and unlocking vehicle with both remote transmitters.Now the black box is going to annoy you to no end, you have to maybe remove it from it's mounts to get to the switch
