Installed it on a Viper 3002 on a 81 Jeep CJ7. It's a necesity as the onboard shock sensor doesn't work well by itself without turning it all the way up and that will set the alarm off instead of getting the cherp you want for the inital warning.You must install this where it will pick up the most vibration. I limited myself to as far as the wiring harness would go as I didn't have it any me to solder anymore wires making it longer. The alarm install took long enough.
Play around with it and you'll find out the best way to install it.
