12 VDC 5-Pin Relay Socket Interlocking Style Review
I bought two of these interlocking relay sockets for an alarm I was installing. I didn't have to have them interlock but it makes for a cleaner installation. Once two sockets are interlocked I found it very hard to insert the two relays. The sockets are too close together once interlocked. I feel the manufacturer should increase the distance between the sockets once interlocked. I used Tyco relays. The sockets were so close that the relays won't go straight down into the socket. So instead of having the relay bodies inserted at an angle with a lot of pressure on them and the interlocking grooves, I just left them as singles (not interlocked). The sockets are good quality, but the interlocking feature doesn't work well with Tyco relays. I had another brand relay lying around. I checked its dimensions and it was even bigger than the Tyco. So in summary, next time I would buy the non-interlocking version if cheaper, as that is how I ended up using them anyway.:-(12 VDC 5-Pin Relay Socket Interlocking Style Overview
