Installed one new on my Viper 2 way system. It flaked out on me a few months later... in a really bad place. Imagine a siren whaling under the hood of your vehicle as you pull up to a security checkpoint @ a VERY large US Army base. Not good. I was able to disable w/the key, thankfully. Restored it to "on" when I was off base.... lasted another 3 months before it did it again... and wouldn't turn off... or stop after I ripped it out & smashed it against the ground :(It is inexpensive though - I purchased another a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it won't make me look like a thief either :(
